With these uncertain economic times, what can the everyday, ordinary person do? Just the other day I heard an inspiring presentation which was focused on the Power of Attraction. The women who gave the presentation brought up a very interesting point. If the media, the market, and the naysayers all focused their energy and attention in a positive manner towards the economy, what might happen?

In the US, 2/3 of the economy is driven by the consumer. When the consumer does not have confidence in the economy, meaning the security of her job, confidence that his money is safe in the bank and so on, the consumer decides not to spend money and consume goods. It comes down to confidence and belief in the economy. When all we read and hear on the internet, the news, and the radio is how bad things are and how much worse they are going to get, our confidence lowers.

In a nutshell, the Power of Attraction states that what you ask for you shall receive and you attract what you think about. If you channel all of your thoughts, feelings, and energy into a single belief or goal, you will achieve that goal. Since we, the consumer, support a majority of the economy, let’s ignore all of the doom and gloom and stand up against the naysayers. Let’s, as a community, say we are not going to let our confidence be eroded and we are going to do something about it. Let’s focus all of our positive thoughts, feelings, and energy into believing that we control our own destiny, we have a choice, and that if we choose to improve the economy, we can and we will. Let’s ask for more jobs and more money and more happiness and let’s see what happens.
