Death

Death. I thought long and hard if this is something I should share on LinkedIn, however it’s important for me to share personal highs and lows as well as professional ones. In addition, the person I am today is because of the person who has been part of my life since day one.

Being raised by a single mother wasn’t always easy and I will never know the sacrifices mom made in order to provide for me, make sure I was safe, fed well, able to explore by interests and hobbies, and taken care of. We didn’t have a lot growing up, but she always made sure it felt like enough.

She taught me about the value of hard work.

She taught me about the value of unconditional love.

She taught me about the value of sacrifice.

She taught me about the value of respect.

She taught me about the value of fighting for what you believe in.

She taught me about the value of family.

She taught me about the value of letting go when you are ready.

She taught me about the value of being kind.

She taught me about the value of being a great husband and father.

She taught me about the the value of staying organized, cleaning up after myself, and always showing up on time.

She taught me that no matter the obstacle, it can be overcome.

She taught me how to be the person I am today and how to grow and develop into the person I want to become tomorrow.

As Graycie Harmon said “My mom is a never-ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being. I may sometimes forget the words, but I always remember the tune.”

Mom’s favorite tune was “Happy Trails”…Until We Meet Again ❤️
