Grattitude

Gratitude. Thank You. You’re Welcome. You Did Great. You Made My Day. Sometimes the smallest gesture goes a long way.

One of the great things about gratitude is that it

makes you feel good. When you tell someone thank you, when you show appreciation for a job well done, when you don’t take the small things for granted, this is practicing true gratitude. And every time you practice gratitude you experience more positive emotions.

Yesterday was a tough day for me mentally as I was feeling down about the #covid-19 situation. There are still so many unknowns and each day brings more unknowns. However, I know that regardless of the current situation, we never know what tomorrow brings, no matter how much we prepare or plan. Thus I know I can control my emotions, how I’m feeling, how I’m reacting to the situation, and how I’m treating others.

How did I turn my day around? I started to think about all the things I’m thankful for, my wife, my daughter, my family, my friends, my health, my job, my team. The ability to motivate and inspire others. Knowing that while I can’t change tomorrow, I can do everything to change this moment and make it the best moment it can be and then do it all over again.

And my hope for this moment, that each of you will

practice #gratitude
