It’s been a while since I’ve posted on LinkedIn. I don’t have a good reason, other than I’ve been struggling. Struggling to be in the right mindset, struggling to stay positive, struggling to fight the good fight, struggling to find the right words to share.
I want to continue to post positive, constructive, and inspiring messages that help others. I’ve also been told that my authentic posts, whether positive or constructive, are important because they help others and shed light on both the successes and struggles we all go through on a daily basis.
During a team call earlier this week, one of my teammates brought up that they look forward to my posts and even share them with others. They suggested to the team that if you are not following me and reading my posts, you should. That was very humbling 😊. It also reminded me that I need to post more often, more so for my own well-being as writing, whether privately or publicly is a great way to listen, sit with, and share my thoughts and feelings. And every once in a while, it might help someone else out, allow them to reflect, think differently, or at least distract them from more pressing items for a few minutes.
A few years ago I was challenged by a teammate to post more on LinkedIn and I’m glad they pushed me to do so. I’ve gotten away from those posts over the past few months and while I don’t know what I’ll share next or when, I’ve been reflecting, listening, absorbing, and excited to get back into the posting habit.
And as author Robert Tew said, “The struggle you're in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow.” #struggle#leadership#mindset#team#strength
